I didn't even know about these until I decided to check out the "official" tubular hoop for my Babylock machine ... which cost an unbelievable $1700!! One hoop, no different sizes. Still in shock, I went looking for an alternative and came upon the FastFrames system and I'm so glad I did. This system enables me to quickly and easily embroider small bags already put together, pant legs, pockets, etc. As soon as I got it my husband asked me to start putting designs on his coat and sweater sleeves, so he's happy, too.The only downsides (and they're small) are the stick-on stabilizer you have to use - not only do they leave a LOT of residue on the metal frame (and I don't care what anyone says, none of the commercial goo-removers I've used have been fast-acting. You will still need a lot of "elbow grease" to remove it) and the stuff doesn't peel off the embroidered area well at all. So be careful what you put it on.The set also doesn't come with a hoop large enough for, say, the back of a jacket, but I'm sure you can buy one separately, which I will do as soon as I can afford it.This frame set has DRASTICALLY reduced limitations in my embroidery, and I'm impressed with how well-thought-out it is. Don't be worried when you see the flat, naked-looking pieces of metal. It does what it's supposed to do, is very sturdy, and I would recommend it to anyone.
